BECOME A MEMBER OF MAWS

The Midwives' Association of Washington State is a non-profit organization formed to unite and organize midwives in Washington state, and to promote public and professional recognition of midwifery. Learn more about MAWS' goals and philosophy.

Our Membership year is January 1st to December 31st, renewable on January 1st of every year.

MAWS has two levels of membership. (Please note we have changed our dues.)

  • Professional Membership – limited to Licensed Midwives, Certified Nurse Midwives, and ND/LMs:
    • 15 or fewer births per year:  $170
    • 16 - 36 births per year:  $220
    • 36 - 59 births per year:  $270
    • 60 births or more per year:  $320

  • Associate Membership - $100 (with directory listing)
    For those professionals and businesses interested in promoting their services in the MAWS directory while supporting MAWS, the cost is $100.


  • Associate Membership -$35 for consumers/supporters and students, who are not interested in a directory listing.

Note: You do not have to join MAWS to obtain services from our members!

We encourage all members to renew online. You can now pay securely online with your credit or debit card. (This is NOT PayPal.) If you prefer paying by check, though, you can do your online registration or renewal, and choose the pay by check option, and send your check in the mail.
